SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer II.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: SEACORP is seeking a full-time Software Developer in Dahlgren, VA. This candidate will work with testers, software engineers, systems engineers and cyber experts from the Navy and Underwarfare Center to analyze and decompose requirements, design software approaches, supportintegration and test, manage interfaces, and assess software deliveries.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, acreative problem solver and able to work effectively in a multi-teamenvironment. Experience with C++ and Java is required. Experience with LINUX/UNIX and Jira is a plus.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science courses.
Experience: At least 5 years' experience and provenperformance in software engineering, including problem analysis and resolution,requirements analysis and definition, design, code, and integration testing. Active Secret Clearance required.
Key Skills:
  • Proven knowledge and experience applying design patterns and object-oriented programming.
  • Knowledge of container technologies and orchestration preferred.
  • Experience with combat systems, control systems, QT, GPB, and AMQP is preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript and Python.
  • Knowledge of GIT and SVN.

Location: Dahlgren, VA
Travel: Infrequently (<3 annually)
Clearance: Secret
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - This positions requires the following physical activities: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and looking at computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
