Senior .NET Software Engineer
Location: Arlington, VA (Hybrid – 1 day per week onsite, potential for 2 days per week) Overview
The .NET Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain web applications using the .NET framework. The successful candidate will integrate software solutions with Oracle databases, support production environments, and contribute to data quality initiatives. The engineer will work collaboratively in an Agile Scrum environment, supporting deployment automation, documentation, testing, and software delivery efforts. Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using the .NET framework
• Implement IIS best practices to support scalable and secure web application infrastructure
• Develop and maintain integrations between .NET applications and Oracle databases, including stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs to support application and system integrations
• Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to data quality initiatives
• Participate in automated deployment processes and assist with deployment scripts and documentation, including Ansible
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus
• Integrate applications with security and authentication solutions including OKTA, CyberArk, and MFA technologies
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and standards throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Assist with technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Active Secret Clearance required
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a .NET Software Engineer, Developer, or related role
• Strong experience developing web applications using .NET, including ASP.NET, Web API, and modern .NET Core/.NET frameworks
• Experience with IIS
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular or React
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience integrating applications with Oracle databases, including stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers
• Experience with database tools such as SQL Developer, SQL Plus, Toad, or SQL Server Management Studio
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Nexus
• Experience with Git-based version control and Agile tools such as Jira
• Exposure to deployment automation tools such as Ansible or willingness to learn
• Understanding of secure coding practices and experience working within NIST security guidelines
• Experience integrating with authentication and security platforms such as OKTA or CyberArk
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional Agile teams Preferred Qualifications
• CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification
