Schedule:

8a-4p Monday-Friday 

Compensation: $22/hr

  • Job Summary 
    In this role Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast
    paced environments. PSO’s may find themselves working in a wide range of areas to include
    medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues and public events. Additionally PSOs
    may be asked to work with a firearm. The PSOs mission is to protect all people, information and
    property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service. PSOs represent the front line
    of our security services.
  • Job Duties / Essential Functions
    • Delivering high end customer service
    • Responding to emergencies
    • Deterring and preventing crime
    • Performing ingress/ egress control procedures
    • Investigating incidents
    • Completing daily logs and incident reports
    • Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols
    • Building and Maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests and co-workers
    • De-escalating conflicts
    • Monitoring CCTV cameras
    • Performing other related duties as assigned
  • Skills / Qualifications
    • ACT 235 (current)
    • 21 years of age
    • Current and valid DL
    • High school diploma or GED
    • (1) year experience in armed security recommended
    • Must be able to pass PAT and ASO course
    • Must be able to pass drug screen
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Proficient time management skills
    • Reliable transportation
    • Excellent de-escalation skills
    • Proficient firearms skills
    • Extensive use of force knowledge
    • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements
  • Appearance:
    • Officers shall maintain their hair in a neat, clean, and combed professional appearance
    • Beards and mustaches must be clean and neatly trimmed. 
    • Officer’s fingernails shall not extend more that ¼ inch from the tip of the finger or
      interfere in any ways in the performance of duty or with the safe drawing of issued
      equipment. Fingernail polish is allowed if it does not distract from the uniform.
       
  • Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
    • These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed. Inability to meet one or more of these physical or mental requirements will not automatically disqualify a candidate or employee from the position. Upon request for a reasonable accommodation, the Company may be able to adjust or excuse one or more of these requirements, depending on the requirement, the essential functions to which it relates, and the proposed accommodation.
      • Ability to work under stress / pressure
      • Ability to lift 25 pounds
      • Ability to wear a uniform
      • Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT) Consisting of;
          • Run 100 meters in 66 seconds or less in Armed Security Officer designated uniform; followed by a 10 min break;

          • Perform 30 push-ups (no time limit) followed by a 30 min break. If you rest during the push-ups, you must rest in the up position. Foam block will be in place for push up stop point.

          • Perform 26 sit-ups (no time limit). If you rest during the sit-ups, you must rest in the up position.

      • Ability to use force, up to and including deadly force, when reasonably justified
