Do you have a passion for fitness and wellness and a heart for working with older adults? Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community is seeking a full-time Fitness Specialist (35 hours/week) to provide group fitness instruction, personal training, and support our comprehensive wellness programs.

  • Passion for fitness, wellness, and helping older adults live healthy, active lives
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Promotion, or a related field preferred
  • Nationally recognized fitness certification (ACE, ACSM, NASM, AFAA, or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
  • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience leading group fitness classes and/or providing personal training; experience working with older adults preferred
  • Knowledge of exercise programming, balance, strength, flexibility, and fall prevention for older adults
  • Ability to motivate, encourage, and build positive relationships with residents
