Installer/Service Technician

Budget Blinds of Central Pittsburgh & Fox Chapel โ€“ Lawrenceville, PA

Job Summary

Budget Blinds of Downtown Pittsburgh seeks a professional window covering installer/service technician for either a part-time or full-time position (40-hrs/wk). The employee will receiveย on-the-job training program toย learn all aspects of window covering installation techniques, processes, and motorization/automation technologies. After completion of training, the employee will be qualified to work independently in their assigned installation van.

Responsibilities and Duties

We are looking for an Installer/Service Technician who can:

  • Install blinds, shades, shutters and other window treatments
  • Perform window treatment troubleshooting and repairs
  • Receive customer payments and manage installation paperwork
  • Assist in warehouse organization
  • Use basic computer programs (email)

Qualifications and Skills

Installer/Service Technician Skills, Abilities, and/or Experience that make a successful candidate:

  • Prior general workmanship and hand tool skills from any industry.
  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Pride in work and work ethic.
  • Ability to learn various window covering installation processes.
  • Troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player in working with Budget Blinds staff.
  • Coachable/trainable and willing to learn new skills and techniques.
  • Friendly, courteous, pleasant with all types of people.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Good communication skills when interfacing with customers/team.
  • Current driver's license and self-transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 30 pounds and work on ladders.
  • High school diploma or equivalent completed education level.
