Full Time Sheet Metal Insulation Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Essential functions including, but are not limited to the following:

A sheet metal worker is a professional who makes, installs and reconditions sheet metal products, such as various elements that are part of the heating, cooling and ventilation systems, as well as roofing and drainage systems

Sheet metal workers can specialize in a single aspect of sheet metal work, like fabrication, maintenance or installation, but usually have knowledge and experience in all three.

Depending on their exact specialty, sheet metal workers have work duties that may include:
•    Manufacturing and installing various sheet metal products, such as air and heat ducts, sheet metal buildings and roofs
•    Measuring, marking and laying out sheets of metal for specific jobs
•    Operating various computerized tools that precisely cut, bend or straighten the metal sheets
•    Polishing metal areas like rough surfaces or the seams and joints between two sheets of metals
•    Welding different sheets of metal together
•    Reading and applying work specifications1    
•    Assemble and installs ductwork, dampers, louvers, registers, grilles, and diffusers.
•    Assist in the setting of equipment such as roof top units, chillers, boilers and air handling units.
•    Secures equipment and related ductwork.
•    Fabrication work in shop will include cutting, fabricating, insulating, forming and assembling ductwork (round and rectangular).
•    Shop work will also include loading and unloading of ductwork, equipment and tools for transport to and from jobsites.
•    Assist Journeyman with various tasks including location of parts, tools and equipment, running errands, cleaning, etc.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
•    Comprehend and make inferences from written material.
•    Use various tools and equipment, including but not limited to saws, hammer drill, ratchet cutter, turbo torches, jack hammer, and various other hand tools.
•    Will be responsible to periodically operate forklifts, aerial lifts, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and ladders, ensuring safe operation.
•    High school graduation or equivalent. 
•    Mathematical Ability: Able to perform routine addition, subtraction, multiplication and/or division.   Able to read and use various measuring devices.
•    Communication Skills/Requirements:  Able to communicate with co-workers and members of supervision as to work in progress, work completed, and/or work to be performed in the future.  Able to fill out (complete) appropriate paperwork, forms, etc. to document work in progress and/or completion. 
•    Reasoning Ability: Able to make minor decisions as to set-ups and sequences to follow. Able to understand and carryout the requirements of the position in which employed. 
•    Licenses/ Certifications: None

Physical Demands: 
•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; stand; stoop; balance; crouch; bend; reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; talk and hear. 
•    The employee must be able to frequently lift, push, pull and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally exceed this limit. 
•    Employee must be able to climb ladders and scaffolds; operate forklifts, aerial lifts and scissor lifts; endure heights, extreme at times; and endure confined/tight spaces. 
•    Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
•    While performing the duties of this job the employee will be exposed to varying conditions, including but not limited to extreme hot, extreme cold, low light, bright light, tight spaces, open spaces, clean spaces and dirty spaces. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate at times.
