Job description

The Customer Retention team drives targeted outreach to small and medium business owners. We focus on building meaningful engagement through personalized, multichannel communication. This role plays a key part in supporting the development, testing, and deployment of email and phone campaigns across Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Salesforce Sales Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Development

  • Build, test, and deploy campaign journeys in SFMC for email and phone programs, including triggered, recurring, and adhoc sends.
  • Configure and maintain CloudPages, forms, and preference centers to support data capture and campaign functionality.
  • Create and manage audience segmentation, synchronized data extensions, data entry events, and automations.
  • Maintain campaign assets, templates, and shared data extensions across USPS Business Units, ensuring governance, naming standards, and quality control.
  • Set up and manage endtoend data integrations, including automated DatabrickstoSFMC data transfers, with thorough testing, validation, and monitoring.
  • Build automated campaigns using realtime or nearrealtime triggers originating from Salesforce or Databricks.

Quality Assurance (QA)

  • Conduct full QA across journeys, data flows, segmentation logic, CloudPages, and campaign assets.
  • Troubleshoot automation errors, send issues, data discrepancies, and integration breaks across SFMC, Sales Cloud, SFTP, and APIs.
  • Monitor email deliverability, IP warming processes, and compliance with CAN-SPAM and data privacy guidelines.
  • Document build steps, maintain QA checklists, runbooks, and processes for repeatable execution.

Functional / Operations

  • Partner with internal teams to conduct campaign reviews, deployment readiness checks, and production QA signoffs.
  • Support campaign project planning, coordinate deployment timelines, and collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor campaign performance postdeployment; handle issue resolution and support analytics/reporting activities.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of all outbound marketing campaigns across channels.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Experience managing Salesforce Sales Cloud integrations with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio).
  • Proficiency with SFMC data management, SQL, and AMPscript.
  • Familiarity with email deliverability practices and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Validity Everest/Return Path).
  • Strong understanding of campaign workflows, governance, and quality control across multiple brands or business units.
  • Experience with Einstein features such as Send Time Optimization and Engagement Scoring, and ability to apply them in journey design.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work crossfunctionally and manage multiple projects in a fastpaced environment.
