What is a full time server?

Full time servers are hospitality professionals who work at restaurants, bars, or other dining establishments, typically for 30-40 hours per week or more. Their main responsibilities include taking customer orders, serving food and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a clean and welcoming dining environment. Full time servers may also handle payments, help with setting up and closing down the restaurant, and assist with other tasks as needed. Because of their full-time status, they often receive more consistent hours, and may be eligible for additional benefits like health insurance or paid time off compared to part-time staff.

Can you work full time as a server?

Yes, full-time server positions are common in the hospitality industry, typically requiring employees to work around 35-40 hours per week. These roles often involve evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, and may require food safety certifications or experience in customer service.
