As a Security Officer Full Time Security Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening equipment to help identify prohibited items, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and shipments. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen cargo, packages, and other items entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections as assigned, reporting prohibited, damaged, or suspicious items through established channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated work areas, loading zones, access points, and the perimeter, while documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
