Job description

Job Summary

Responsibilities include the installation and repair of security systems, access control systems, and network camera systems. While providing exceptional service to our customers when instructing them on the proper usage of our products.

Essential Duties

  • Install, program, configure, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, and repair of access control, network camera systems, and security alarm systems.

  • Performs basic programming for electronic components of our security systems.

  • Responds to electrical service or trouble calls, troubleshoots various problems, provides problem resolution and is rotated on an on-call schedule.

  • Keep detailed records of installations, services, and repairs.

  • Lift and properly place security alarm systems according to plan specifications.

  • Pull and route wiring through confined spaces and tight areas, ensuring connectivity while adhering to safety standards and protocols.

Qualifications

  • Ability to pass LiveScan background check for ACE Card

  • Technical knowledge of alarm systems and electronic security devices.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and manuals

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn security alarm codes and standards.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge in security alarms, camera systems, and access control systems

  • Knowledge of electrical equipment, components, instruments, and security alarms including installation, repairs, testing, use, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of electronic theory, circuits, components, and material properties.

  • Knowledge in multimeters and tools for installation, repair, and maintenance.

  • Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions

  • Valid Driver's License

Related Experience

  • 3-5 years of related security alarm experience preferred.

Safety/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Ability to walk without seating for extended periods

  • This position requires constant climbing, squatting, lifting, and pulling

  • Hand and finger dexterity required

  • Ability to work in varying outdoor temperatures, and indoor cold temperature depending on col box/freezer temps

Education

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent

  • A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements

Reports to: Division Manager

Pay Rate: $18.00-$33.00 per hour

Classification: Non-exempt, full time, In-Person

Supervisory: This position does not have direct reporting employees
