Job Summary:
The housekeeping inspector is to inspect and complete assigned section of guest rooms to ensure adherence to company standards and quality guest service.This position also performs the duties of the housekeeper role.

The Details:
Position Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Pay: $18.15 per hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Focus on always providing exceptional quality of service to guests while maximizing profitability, both in how work is conducted and quality of work.
  • Inspect daily, entire assigned section (guest rooms, linen rooms, hallways, grounds etc.) to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper condition to meet or exceed departmental and company standards.
  • Report condition and status of guest rooms to Front Desk in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain and uphold all company policies, assist in the development of assigned employees through training and performance enhancement.
  • Report to Executive Housekeeper on the performance and/or behavior of the employees assigned to the inspector.
  • Assume duties of a GRA when necessary and able to effectively carry out duties of any assigned inspector shift.
  • Control keys, master, and guest room keys, and maintain security of all guest rooms, both occupied and unoccupied.
  • Enforce safety regulations, precautions, and information to provide a safe working atmosphere for self and employees assigned.
  • Communicate effectively with Executive Housekeeper, Front Desk personnel, Bell Attendant staff, maintenance and other departments and guests.
  • Participate in established programs designed to further professional growth and development.
  • Adhere to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies, and procedures such as safety, risk management and environmental policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or custodial position.
  • Knowledge of the hotel layout, including general knowledge of available services with the ability to convey information to the guests

Physical Requirements include:

Constantly: Stand, walk.

Frequently: Handle, reach outward & above shoulder, bend, lift/carry up to 20 lbs., and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Occasionally: Sit, climb, crawl, squat/kneel, lift/carry up to 100 lbs, and may work nonstandard hours.
