Employees in these roles are responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, recording weight data, checking load contents, and ensuring compliance with site regulations. They may also handle administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, issuing tickets, and providing customer service to drivers and other site visitors. Accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication skills are important for this position. Full-time positions typically offer regular hours and may include benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.

  • Coordinate with plant operators to ensure the correct mix and tonnage are loaded according to the specific customer order.
  • Direct incoming and outgoing truck traffic to the appropriate loading areas, ensuring a smooth and safe flow of vehicles throughout the yard.
  • Act as the central communication hub between the scale house, asphalt plant Foremen, Loaders, and Dispatch teams via CB radio and telephone.
  • Coordinate with Loader Operators to ensure trucks are loaded with the correct material and to report any loading discrepancies.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding product availability, pricing, and scheduling; process cash and credit sales with high accuracy.
  • Research and resolve ticket discrepancies or customer complaints promptly, documenting findings for management review.
  • Administer site-specific safety training and orientation for all visitors, vendors, and new drivers to ensure compliance with Martin Marietta’s safety protocols.
  • Maintain meticulous daily, weekly, and monthly records of tonnage, sales activity, and inventory reconciliation.
