Staiman Recycling Corporation

Staiman Recycling is hiring a full-time Scale House Operator for our Elmira, NY location.
This position serves as the first point of contact for customers entering the yard. We are looking for someone dependable, organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and provide professional customer service.
  • Weigh inbound and outbound scrap materials.
  • Process customer transactions accurately using company software (RIMAS).
  • Obtain and verify customer information for purchases and payments.
  • Maintain accurate transaction records and daily documentation.
  • Communicate with yard personnel and drivers regarding traffic flow and loads.
  • Assist with general office and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Previous cashier, office, dispatch, scale house, or customer service experience is helpful, but not required.
