Looking for a career change or looking to get your career started?  Affinity recruiting is looking to fill entry-level 1st shift manufacturing positions here in the Syracuse, NY location. 

 

$15.50 - $17.25 per hour (depending on experience)

Full-Time positions, 40 hours a week, M-F schedule, 6am – 2:30pm!


The job:

  • Remove undesirable projections or surplus metal from sand castings

  •  Operate band saw, abrasive saw, sand grinder, belt grinder and portable pneumatic grinding tools

  •  Use of a variety of hand tools including hammers, cold chisels and files

  •  May also require the operation and/or loading of the blast cleaning machine

  •  May also require the loading/unloading of the heat treat oven

  •  Report defective parts to supervisor

  •  Maintain and perform housekeeping of grinding area, including sweeping and vacuuming

  •  Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Okay with routinely lifting 30-50lbs

  • Okay working in a hot and dirty environment.

  • Can be dependable to show up and do a great job!

  • Someone looking for a career and eager to learn!
