Job description

THE OPPORTUNITY

Epic is a national, 100% woman-owned commercial window film and graphics company with operations across Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, and Oklahoma. We're hiring an Inside Solutions Advisor to hunt online bid opportunities, read blueprints, and run takeoffs — all fromour McKinney, TX headquarters. If you know how to find a project before the competition does,we want to talk.

This is a critical inside sales role focused entirely on identifying and winning online opportunities— proactively hunting for active projects, open bids, and emerging scopes of work throughonline platforms, bid databases, and digital channels. You will work from your desk but yourreach is national.

The right person brings both a sales hunter mentality and the technical ability to read construction blueprints and perform accurate window film takeoffs. You will translate plans into quantified scopes, build proposals, and move opportunities through the pipeline — all from our McKinney headquarters, supporting Epic's national footprint.

If you are organized, technically sharp, competitive, and understand that every project you find online is a building full of people waiting to be protected — this role is for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development

  • Proactively search and monitor online bid platforms, project databases, and procurement portals for active window film and graphics opportunities (BidClerk, iSqFt, ConstructConnect, Dodge, SAM.gov, school district portals, and similar)
  • Identify new projects in the pre-bid and design phase to position Epic early in the decision-making process
  • Research general contractors, architects, facility managers, and owners associated with identified opportunities
  • Maintain a disciplined daily pipeline of active opportunities, tracking status, deadlines, and follow-up actions in the CRM
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify lead sources and channels driving the highest-quality online opportunities

Blueprint Reading & Takeoffs

  • Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction blueprints, and building plans to identify window film and graphics scope
  • Perform accurate window-by-window and glass-area takeoffs from digital and printed plans
  • Quantify material requirements, labor scope, and installation complexity for accurate proposal development
  • Work with Field Project Managers to validate takeoff accuracy and confirm site conditions when needed
  • Maintain organized, version-controlled takeoff documentation for every active opportunity

Proposal Development & Quoting

  • Build complete, professional proposals and bid packages using Epic's branded templates and pricing structures
  • Translate takeoff quantities into accurate material and labor estimates aligned with Epic's pricing model
  • Tailor proposals to specific project requirements, specs, and bid instructions — including public and government bids
  • Submit bids on time with zero errors; manage deadline calendars for all open RFPs and bid due dates
  • Follow up on submitted proposals, track award status, and log outcomes in the CRM

Customer & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for online-sourced opportunities through the full sales cycle
  • Communicate professionally with GCs, owners, architects, and facility managers via phone and email
  • Coordinate with Solutions Advisors and Field Project Managers to ensure seamless handoff from awarded bid to project execution
  • Build long-term relationships with repeat clients and decision-makers to generate future online bid opportunities

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 3–5 years of experience in inside sales, estimating, or project development — preferably in commercial construction, specialty contracting, or building materials
  • Experience performing material or scope takeoffs from building plans
  • Proficiency with online bid and project databases (BidClerk, iSqFt, ConstructConnect,
  • Dodge, SAM.gov, or equivalent)
  • Strong organizational skills — able to manage a high-volume pipeline of opportunities
  • simultaneously
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills for client-facing proposals and
  • correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM platforms
  • Must be available to work onsite, full-time at our McKinney, TX headquarters

Preferred

  • Experience in window film, glazing, glass, or commercial window and door industries
  • Familiarity with 3M product specifications and commercial film applications
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, or similar digital takeoff software
  • Working knowledge of government procurement and public bid processes (GSA,
  • state/municipal portals)
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM or similar sales pipeline tools
  • Background in school safety, government, or commercial facility projects is a strong plus

Benefits:

  • Dental insurance
  • Health insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Vision insurance

Experience:

  • Estimating: 3 years (Required)
  • Inside Sales: 3 years (Required)

Work Location: In person

Company Description

Epic is a national, award-winning, 100% woman-owned commercial solutions provider headquartered in McKinney, Texas, with active operations in Colorado, Tennessee, and Oklahoma — and expanding. We are a 3M Platinum Elite National Dealer and have been named 3M National Dealer of the Year multiple years running — the highest recognition 3M awards in the window film industry. We are also a trusted service provider for the Presidential White House of the United States.

Our work spans security and architectural window film, solar control, decorative and privacy films, large-format graphics, and window coverings. Epic was founded on a single mission: protect the people behind the glass. Every installation we complete has to be done right — the film in a school vestibule or a government building is what stands between people and broken glass. That standard is the heart of this role. Installations done right...every time.
