Job description

Basic Job Function:
Provide friendly, attentive, timely, and safe transportation service to create an exceptional experience for all of our guests, members, and team members. Promote the Sea Island legacy of warm genuine hospitality while upholding and ensuring compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
DOT Class C Required
Minimum Requirements:
โ€ข Minimum one (1) years experience in driving vans or buses preferred
โ€ข Valid Georgia CDL license or the ability to obtain a Georgia CDL license within the first 90 days of employment
โ€ข In accordance with DOT regulations, must be at least 21 years of age in order to qualify for a CDL
โ€ข High School Diploma or equivalent credentials
โ€ข College degree preferred
โ€ข CPR and First Aid certified preferred
โ€ข During the first 90 days of employment, must be able to pass multiple background checks at various airports and municipalities including a TSA background check at the Jacksonville Airport

Tasks/Responsibilities:
โ€ข Inspect vehicle following dot guidelines
โ€ข Clean the vehicle inside and out
โ€ข Assist guests and employees in and out of vehicle, load and unload guests luggage when required
โ€ข Communicate with dispatch in a safe and professional manner using company issued push to talk radio phones
โ€ข Assist answering phone in office as required
โ€ข Pump gas as required
โ€ข Pick up parts as directed
โ€ข Fill out vehicle reports
โ€ข List defects of any vehicle
โ€ข Respond to direction from transportation supervisor or transportation dispatcher regarding destination and guests
โ€ข Provide friendly, attentive, timely, and safe transportation service for our guests, members, and team members
โ€ข Transport persons and luggage to destination obeying all traffic laws and operator safety procedures
โ€ข Ensure the comfort of the guest while traveling by not smoking, controlling air temperature, and only conversing when prompted by the passenger
โ€ข Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area
โ€ข Learn the names and personally recognize our regular Guests and Members
โ€ข Maintain a thorough knowledge of current guest services, activities, dining options, shops, local attractions, and historical information regarding Sea Island and the surrounding area to answer any questions guests may have to the best of one's ability
โ€ข If applicable, complete a Guest Problem Resolutions (GPR) form on any issues (solved or unsolved issues) and follow-up on issues as needed (if computer access is not available give information to admin support)
โ€ข Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas
โ€ข Uphold appropriate departmental standards of quality/timing
โ€ข Uphold and ensure compliance with all company and departmental policies and procedures
โ€ข Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures to supervisor immediately
โ€ข Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement
โ€ข Willing and timely execution of other duties as delegated by leadership
Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Ability to sit, drive, kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, balance, reach, bend, push, pull and walk for prolonged periods
โ€ข If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels
โ€ข Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
โ€ข Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
โ€ข Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
โ€ข May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical and fume hazards
โ€ข Maintain compliance with Company Resort Professional Image Policy
