Transporter - Royal Oaks Hospital
Department: Admissions/Scheduling - Hospital
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Royal Oaks Hospital
Compensation: $18.50 / hour
Description
Keep our patients safe and supported on every journey.
Schedule: 32 hours weekly; hours will vary, must be available to work holidays, weekends, nights as needed.
As a Transporter at Royal Oaks Hospital, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable transportation of patients.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being an essential part of a healthcare team, values safety and reliability, and takes pride in helping patients navigate their care with dignity and security.
This position is based at Royal Oaks Hospital, a subsidiary of Compass Health Network.
Key Responsibilities
• Safely transport patients while following all traffic laws and ensuring seatbelt use
• Work collaboratively with hospital staff to maintain smooth operations
• Serve as a preceptor and mentor for new staff members
• Complete required training and continuing education, including CALM and CPR
• Observe urinalysis collection as needed
• Report and schedule vehicle maintenance, emergency breakdowns, or accidents per policy
• Promote quality improvement initiatives within the hospital
• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and comply with Federal, State, and TJC regulations
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High School/GED preferred
Work Experience/Training/Additional Requirements:
  • Experience in patient transportation, healthcare, or related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license required

Licensure/Certification:
  • Must have a valid Class E Missouri driver's license or ability to obtain within 60 days
