Location: Reynoldsville, PA

Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2p to 10p)

We are currently seeking an experienced Rollomatic CNC SetUp Operator to join our team.

Position Overview

The Rollomatic CNC SetUp Operator is responsible for setting up, programming adjustments, operating, and maintaining Rollomatic grinding machines to produce precision round tools. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with carbide tool grinding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate Rollomatic CNC grinders (e.g., 529Xw, 620XS, 628WX, 630WX, Grind Smart series) for round tool production
  • Read and interpret blueprints, tool drawings, and engineering specifications
  • Load programs, make offsets, and perform minor edits to ensure tool geometry accuracy
  • Perform firstpiece inspection and inprocess checks using appropriate measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, optical equipment, etc.)
  • Monitor machine performance and tool quality, making necessary adjustments
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and work with maintenance/engineering as needed
  • Complete production paperwork and maintain accurate records
  • Follow all safety procedures and hazard reporting and company quality standards

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Math skills using metrics, decimals, and fractions
    • Proficiency using precision measurement tools
    • Mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Preferred:
    • Experience setting up and operating Rollomatic CNC grinding machines
    • Strong understanding of round tool geometry (end mills, drills, step tools, etc.)
    • Ability to read technical drawings and GD&T
    • Proficiency using precision measurement tools
    • Experience with Fanuc or NUM control interfaces
    • Background in manufacturing carbide tools
    • Basic understanding of Gcode
    • Previous experience in a highmix, lowvolume tool grinding environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally
  • Manual dexterity for handling small precision parts
