Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend Integrations to build platform integrations across NVIDIA, simulation systems, and digital twin environments. The primary focus of this role is backend microservices and API integration, with Python preferred. Full stack experience (React/Angular) is a plus but not required.
In this role, you will help define how NVIDIA, Physical AI, and simulation platforms integrate with enterprise-scale services, enabling mission execution, visualization, and future autonomous solutions. You will work on complex engineering challenges, influence platform architecture, and deliver technology that helps shape the future of a large-scale digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build backend microservice APIs (Python preferred) for simulation, NVIDIA, and Physical AI integrations
  • Design REST, gRPC, and event-driven APIs for asset exchange and simulation workflows
  • Develop integration adapters using AI coding platforms and spec-driven development between cloud services and simulation/digital twin platforms
  • Support simulation and digital twin asset exchange (OpenUSD/USD or similar formats)
  • Implement asynchronous workflows, including job orchestration, retries, idempotency, and observability
  • Manage large artifact storage and lifecycle, including metadata, versioning, retention, and traceability
  • Define API, event, and data contracts for simulation and digital twin integrations
  • Collaborate with vendor partners and internal platform teams on integration design and delivery
  • Develop and maintain contract testing, integration testing, and automation frameworks
  • Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational readiness

Team Collaboration & Structure
This role works closely with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Architects, and Platform Engineering teams, and collaborates with scrum teams responsible for Mission Automation, Execution & Control, Simulation Results, and Geospatial/Safety Services. You will partner with vendor and integration teams to define integration patterns and technical solutions, and participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, design discussions, and technical demos.
Requirements
Education & Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
