Logan Health Behavioral Health is searching for a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join their team!
About our facility:
Logan Health Behavioral Health (formerly Pathways Treatment Center), a department of Logan Health Medical Center, located in Kalispell, Montana, began its high standard of care when it opened its doors in 1994. We provide acute inpatient services for Montana clients who have mental health or substance abuse issues.
The 40-bed facility offers clinically effective treatment through the collaborative efforts of a team that includes psychiatrists, addictionologists, certified licensed addiction counselors, licensed therapists, psychiatric nurses and mental health specialists. Each staff member is dedicated to delivering results-oriented treatment in a caring and confidential environment.
What you'll be doing?
  • Comprehensive Psychiatric Care - Conduct assessments, develop individualized care plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient recovery.
  • Medication Management - Administer and monitor prescribed medications, educate patients on adherence and side effects, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Safety Monitoring & Compliance - Perform regular safety checks, document patient observations, and ensure adherence to facility safety protocols.
  • Program Facilitation & Patient Education - Lead therapeutic programs, teach coping strategies, facilitate group discussions, and provide medication education.
  • Crisis Intervention & De-escalation - Respond to Code Gray incidents, use de-escalation techniques, ensure staff and patient safety, and document crisis interventions.
  • Regulatory & Documentation Standards - Maintain accurate patient records, comply with facility regulations, participate in treatment meetings, and stay updated on best practices in psychiatric nursing.

What you'll need to have:
  • Current Montana RN license or a multi state compact license with authorization to practice nursing within the state of Montana; required. BSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in similar position within a medical setting (e.g., physician office, clinic, or hospital) preferred. Experience in assigned area(s) preferred.
  • Possess knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice to administer and evaluate patient care.
  • Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR and/or BLS certification required
    RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first.

Shift:
Variable - 8 Hours (United States of America)
Schedule: Full-time, 32 hours per week. Variable 8-hour shifts that will be a combination of day and evening.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
