FULL TIME- RN

Job description:

PCET Surgery Center is a busy single specialty Interventional Pain Surgery Center located in Knoxville, TN. We are currently interviewing for a Full Time , Registered Nurse position, for our Pre-Op/PACU/Operating Room areas, with our immediate need in PACU. Hours are Monday-Friday, no weekends, holiday's or call. If you want to join a team that feels more like Family, this is your chance!

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Pre-op: Admission and Assessment

* Confirm procedure, site and NPO status with patient

* Confirm presence or absence of any allergies

* Obtain IV access if ordered

* Obtain Consent(s) and other necessary documents

* Prepare antibiotics if ordered

* Administer medications if ordered

* Obtain vital signs (Temp, SAO2, Pulse, B/P, R)

PACU/Recovery:

* Assess patient for airway, LOC, IV status and pain.

* Obtain vital signs as per policy.

* Administer medications

* Prepare patient for discharge by providing oral and written discharge instructions.

* Respond to emergencies appropriately to any area within the ASTC.

Operating Room:

* Assesses and identifies the patient preoperatively and assesses accurate preparation for the Operating Room.

* Scrubs and Circulates cases.

* Maintains aseptic technique for the Operating Room environment.

* Responsible for proper positioning of the patient on the O.R. table, protecting pressure points and skin area.

* Check all equipment to assure good working condition and cleanliness before patient enters room.

*Is responsible for providing proper supplies, instruments and equipment necessary for each surgical procedure.

* Anticipates and provides needs of all members of the surgical team in a timely manner.

* Documents surgical procedure accurately and concisely.

* Pre-plan cases for next day.
