GNC is seeking an experienced high-volume Retail Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team based out of Pittsburg, PA. This role requires a strategic and independent professional to manage high-volume recruiting efforts focused on sourcing and screening diverse talent throughout our retail organization.
What You'll Do:
This is a Full-Time Salary Position
The Retail Recruiter is responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring exceptional professionals throughout the organization. They work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and manage the full recruitment life cycle. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring our organization is staffed with the right individuals who can contribute to our success.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing requirements and develop job descriptions.
  • Source, interview, and assess potential candidates to determine their qualifications and suitability for open positions.
  • Use data to determine various recruitment metrics including # of open positions, time to fill, effective sourcing channels, cost to hire, etc.
  • Determine requirements for recruiting and number of positions and locations by modeling hiring targets against historical acceptance rates, percentage of offers made, applications from each requisition, etc.
  • Meet Talent Acquisition established KPIs/ goals per assigned area.
  • Build a network of qualified candidates for both immediate and future hiring needs, specializing in entry level positions and management positions across multiple locations.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and engage both active and passive candidates for various roles.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for high-demand positions, focusing on key talent pools in the industry.
  • Utilize multiple sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals, to reach a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to recruitment best practices and the health and wellness space.
  • Manage recruitment databases and track key performance metrics.
  • This role involves collaborating with leadership to implement hiring programs and will help manage the onboarding and hiring process in the HR platform. This includes the issuing of offer letters, initiating background checks, and finalizing new hire documents to ensure candidates are ready for hire.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience, ensuring candidates are well-informed and engaged throughout the hiring process.
  • Work with hiring managers to facilitate the interview process, including scheduling, debriefs, and offer negotiations.
  • Maintain regular communication with candidates and provide feedback, ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment process.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors & Working Schedule:
  • Hybrid work environment, 2 days in-person attendance (Pittsburgh, PA) in addition to ability to work remotely remainder of the week.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include long periods of computer screen usage, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent years of relevant experience).
  • 2+ years of recruiting/ talent acquisition experience.
  • Proven experience as a recruiter, preferably in the retail/ health and wellness market.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in applicant tracking systems and recruitment software.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment.
  • Fluent language skills required to speak, read, and understand customers and GNC communications
  • Strong interpersonal and ethical behavior to manage the company's assets.
  • Excellent customer service skills to develop a relationship-selling culture.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and customers.
