FULL TIME RESEARCH ENGINEER
New York University Tandon School of Engineering
The Poudineh Lab at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a Full time Research Engineer to work in wearable sensors.
New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn, NY, is deeply committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Tandon fosters student and faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world. The Poudineh Lab focuses on developing new platforms for automating healthcare via continuous biomarker monitoring and delivering therapeutics.
Responsibilities
Candidates will be responsible for:
  • Conducting biomedical research involving hydrogel polymer synthesis and microneedle fabrication for experimental studies.
  • Assisting in grant preparation: This includes collaborating with PI to draft, review, and prepare grant proposals and supporting documentation.
  • Managing laboratory inventory: Sourced and ordered essential materials, chemicals, and reagents while maintaining accurate tracking logs.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment: Performed routine inspections, calibration, and preventative maintenance on instruments

Salary range
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary for this position is $55,000/year - $70,000/year depending on the candidate's experience and qualification.
Expected start date and period of employment
Expected start date is: September 1, 2026. This position is expected to be for 12 months.
Qualifications
Candidates should have at least a MS in biotechnology, nanotechnology or a related field and 3 years of experience. Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
