As a member of our dedicated counseling team, you will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, utilizing virtual platforms to conduct assessments, therapy sessions, and follow-ups effectively.

• Conducting initial mental health screenings and thorough evaluations to establish clients' needs and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Developing personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and diverse groups, tailored to their specific circumstances.
• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic modalities.
• Continuously monitoring client progress against treatment goals, making necessary adjustments to care strategies as required.
• Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, including social workers, doctors, and psychiatric professionals, to create cohesive intervention strategies.
• Engaging in active follow-ups with involved healthcare providers for clients who may be receiving additional medical support.
• Implementing strategies to motivate and assist clients in overcoming barriers to effective recovery and mental wellness.
• Providing guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers in addressing and managing mental health issues encountered by their loved ones.

Our practice focuses on a broad spectrum of mental health needs, serving individuals from various backgrounds, including those facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction. We strive to create a safe and supportive environment, fostering trust and rapport with clients to encourage their engagement in the therapeutic process.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• A demonstrated successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proficient understanding and experience with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of co-occurring physical health and emotional disorders, particularly relating to addiction and recovery pathways.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by exceptional interpersonal skills and a supportive demeanor.

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, with a focus on trauma-informed care and client-centered methodologies.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Understanding of psychopharmacology and the implications of medications prescribed to clients.
