About the Organization

Located in the heart of Plano, Texas, Ultimate Support Counseling Center is a leading outpatient mental health facility committed to delivering exceptional psychological services. Our center is dedicated to serving a diverse clientele with a variety of mental health concerns. We prioritize creating a supportive, inclusive environment where both clients and counselors can thrive, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and respect.

Work Environment

This position operates remotely, allowing for flexible scheduling while ensuring professional support systems are in place. The outpatient nature of our services means that counselors will manage a range of cases, all while contributing to a cohesive team of healthcare professionals. You will have access to advanced technology, including electronic health record systems like AVATAR, to facilitate client management and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments of clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, followed by detailed documentation to maintain continuity of care.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities that resonate with clients.
  • Regularly monitor and review progress towards treatment goals and make necessary adjustments in collaboration with clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other mental health specialists, physicians, and social workers to create holistic intervention plans that support client recovery.
  • Provide follow-up support for clients who have been hospitalized, ensuring seamless communication with psychiatrists and attending physicians.
  • Identify potential barriers to recovery and work proactively to mitigate behaviors that may impede progress.
  • Support the families and caregivers of clients, equipping them with strategies to manage challenges related to mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

At Ultimate Support Counseling Center, you will engage with a diverse array of clients, each facing distinct mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your role will be critical in establishing a trusting relationship, which is vital for effective therapeutic intervention and positive patient outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Texas.
  • Passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • Proficient use of electronic health record systems; experience with AVATAR is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and progress to clients and other professionals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient setting, demonstrating a history of successful client outcomes.
  • Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and the latest developments in psychotherapy.
  • Deep understanding of the complexities of mental health conditions, including the interplay of physical and emotional health.
  • Knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their implications for mental health therapy.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, contingent on experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health insurance with a variety of coverage options.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer contributions to help you secure your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to ensure work-life balance.
  • Continuous education support and professional development opportunities that encourage growth within our practice.
  • A collaborative team environment where your insights and contributions are valued.
