Work Environment

This role offers a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining connection with a close-knit team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and counselors. Although primarily remote, some meetings and trainings may occur in our outpatient office based in Atlanta. Standard working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs and challenges faced by elderly individuals.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that factor in cognitive changes, physical health concerns, and social determinants of wellbeing.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family counseling, specifically focused on geriatric mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this role is on the elderly population, particularly those grappling with mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and dementia-related challenges. This particular client demographic requires counselors to approach therapy with patience and understanding, as many patients may face complexities related to aging and health.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
