A Full Time Remote Substance Abuse Counselor typically needs a relevant degree in counseling, psychology, or social work, along with state licensure or certification in substance abuse counseling. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and clinical documentation systems is crucial for remote work. Proactively seeking peer supervision and professional development in telehealth best practices also helps counselors stay effective and connected.
