Your expertise will guide individuals, couples, families, and groups through their mental health journeys, helping them navigate challenges and fostering resilience and personal growth.

About the Organization

Mental Harbor Psychotherapy Services is a community-focused health clinic located in Spokane, Washington. We pride ourselves on offering a supportive and inclusive environment where mental health professionals can thrive while delivering impactful care to our clients. Our team collaborates with various healthcare providers to ensure that clients receive comprehensive support tailored to their unique needs.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to connect meaningfully with clients from the comfort of your own space while still being an integral part of our team. You will engage in virtual therapy sessions, utilize digital documentation tools, and participate in interdisciplinary meetings to strategize client care. We prioritize both employee well-being and client outcomes, providing a collaborative and empowering atmosphere for our therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and thoughtful assessments of clients' mental health concerns to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses and develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health crises, ensuring their safety and offering immediate support when needed.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, adhering to ethical and legal standards to protect client confidentiality.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals to develop comprehensive care strategies for clients.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and how to access community resources, advocating on their behalf to ensure they receive necessary support.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices and therapeutic techniques.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, making cultural competence and empathy essential to your practice. Your role will not only support individual healing but also contribute to building healthier families and communities through effective therapy.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist, such as LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and aptitude for developing accurate diagnostic formulations.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is mandatory.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.
  • Adept at both independent work and collaborative practices within a team-based framework.
  • A commitment to ethical standards and maintaining professionalism in all aspects of service delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a clinical setting with a focus on community mental health services is highly desirable, though we also welcome entry-level therapists eager to learn and grow.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools is a plus, as this role will predominantly be remote.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, from USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year, contingent on your experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible work schedules, opportunities for ongoing education, and generous paid time off policies.
