The Healing Mind and Soul Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our team in Amarillo, Texas. This role will allow you to work remotely while also engaging closely with caregivers and children in the community. Our dynamic and supportive remote work environment ensures that you are equipped with the resources, tools, and training necessary to deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions. You will be part of a dedicated team of mental health professionals, fostering collaboration to support each client's needs effectively.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting individual therapy sessions and group therapy activities within the comfort of the client’s home or our outpatient facility, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Implementing targeted interventions focusing on anger management, coping strategies, and the development of social skills to navigate everyday challenges.
• Working collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals to share insights and collectively enhance support for youth and their families.
• Documenting therapy sessions comprehensively by submitting required paperwork, including treatment plans and progress notes, adhering to the established timelines.
• Attending monthly team meetings to provide updates, share feedback, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our service delivery models.

This role primarily focuses on serving children aged 3 to 20, particularly those facing challenges associated with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work closely with families to guide them through behavioral management techniques and positive behavior support strategies, enhancing their capacity to foster a nurturing home environment. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enriching the lives of children who require specialized interventions to thrive.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license.
• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours from 4-7 PM while being open to weekend hours when necessary.

While we welcome all qualified candidates, preference will be given to applicants with:

• Direct experience providing positive behavior support to children and adolescents.
• Significant work history with children suffering from intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
• Demonstrated experience and comfort working with bilingual families, specifically Spanish or Portuguese speaking parents and children.
