Dignified Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing essential therapeutic services to a diverse array of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups. Your primary focus will be to assess client mental health needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions that drive positive outcomes and foster personal growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately understand clients' mental health concerns, formulate clinical diagnoses, and develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs.
  • Provide individual therapy, group therapy sessions, and family counseling, utilizing evidence-based modalities that are tailored to align with each client's unique goals and circumstances.
  • Deliver crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute mental health issues, ensuring timely access to required resources and care.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential client records, documenting treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment results in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and coordinated care, drawing on the expertise of fellow healthcare professionals to enhance client treatment outcomes.
  • Educate clients and their families on mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources, while advocating for their rights and needs within the healthcare system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve clients from various backgrounds, addressing a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. This diverse client base requires a therapist who is adaptable and culturally competent, capable of addressing the unique challenges faced by different populations while fostering an environment of trust and safety.

Qualifications
  • Licensed as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) and in good standing with the state of New Jersey.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities to accurately identify mental health conditions.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is necessary.
