Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients via secure video chat to address their mental health needs and promote personal growth.
• Engage clients in discussions about their emotions, behaviors, and life experiences to facilitate self-discovery and relationship insights.
• Act as an advocate for clients, helping them articulate personal goals and strategies to achieve them.
• Assess clients' mental health status, apply a solution-focused approach, and create personalized treatment plans based on best practices and your clinical expertise.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans within the secure therapy platform.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Better You Mental and Wellness Center, you will primarily work with stable adults who have been thoroughly screened to ensure they do not present severe mental health issues. This creates an environment where you can effectively utilize your skills to guide low-acuity clients towards improved mental wellness. Additionally, we ensure that clients are matched with counselors whose areas of specialization align with their needs, fostering a harmonious therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Must hold a full, unrestricted license in good standing from the state board to practice independently: specifically, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature to create an empathetic therapeutic environment.
• Technical proficiency to navigate telehealth platforms effectively.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in a remote counseling role is a plus. Candidates with specialties in areas such as trauma-informed care, relationship counseling, or cognitive behavioral therapy will find their expertise highly valued within our practice.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and clientele volume. In addition to the salary, we provide an attractive sign-on bonus, weekly direct deposit for timely paychecks, and a monthly healthcare stipend for full-time counselors.
