Join our dedicated team at Patient First Counseling Center as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. We are searching for passionate and skilled professionals, including LCSWs, LPCs, and LMFTs, to support our commitment to providing comprehensive mental health services in a remote work environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments for new patients, utilizing standardized tools and structured interviews to capture an accurate understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect consistent evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, adjusted appropriately to fit the dynamics of individual or family therapy settings.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups addressing common issues such as coping strategies for anxiety and depression, providing a supportive space for patients to share their experiences and learn from one another.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach for holistic patient care.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention services as needed, offering immediate support and resources for patients encountering acute mental health crises.
  • Educate patients on their mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, fostering greater autonomy and empowerment in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation practices in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively to track patient progress and interactions.
  • Actively participate in weekly team meetings and case consultations to share insights, seek advice, and stay abreast of the latest clinical practices and research in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve diverse adult and adolescent individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, from mild to severe. Every patient presents a unique story and set of needs, making your role critical in tailoring interventions that are culturally and individually relevant.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and superb communication skills, enabling you to connect deeply with patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong ethical judgment and the ability to maintain professional boundaries in a therapeutic setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and general computer applications is essential.
