Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will take on several critical responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
• Providing crisis intervention and stabilization as necessary, including developing behavioral guidelines and positive behavior support plans.
• Timely completion of required documentation to comply with regulatory standards, ensuring accurate clinical records and reports.
• Utilizing evidence-based assessments and screening tools, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance client outcomes.
• Participating actively in licensing and accreditation processes, ensuring our agency continues to meet and exceed the highest standards of care.
• Engaging with state agencies and community partners, fostering relationships that enhance our service delivery and expand our network of support.
• Promoting the agency’s mission and values through community outreach and participation in statewide meetings related to behavioral health.
• Providing guidance to junior staff members and continuing to build personal expertise through ongoing education and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a variety of clients facing emotional and behavioral challenges, including those recovering from substance abuse issues, individuals with developmental disabilities, and patients diagnosed with mental health conditions. Your treatment efforts will contribute to client empowerment, helping them regain control over their lives and achieve sustained recovery.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are necessary for this position:

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field.
• An independent LMHC license issued by the state of Florida.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and report preparation.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration in a team environment.
• Sound judgment and the ability to make informed decisions based on professional expertise.
