Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized therapy to clients facing a range of challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote positive mental health outcomes.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary care teams to address specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client sessions, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines as well as organizational policies.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and evaluations to monitor clients' progress and adapt treatment approaches as necessary.
  • Engage in community outreach and education efforts representing Better Way Behavioral Health at local events to promote mental health awareness and access to services.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve supporting a diverse group of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Many clients may seek counseling due to stressful life events or ongoing mental health conditions, and your empathetic approach will be essential in helping them navigate their journeys toward healing.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling is required.
  • A valid and active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
  • At least two years of clinical experience in a mental health care setting with direct client contact is preferred.
Preferred Experience

We value diverse clinical backgrounds, and experience working with specific populations, such as children and adolescents, families, or those with trauma histories, will enhance your application. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and electronic health records will also be advantageous in this remote role.

Compensation and Benefits
