Tiny Triumphs Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a full-time remote position. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, culturally-sensitive mental health assessments to understand each patient's unique experiences, backgrounds, and treatment needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapeutic interventions that reflect each patient's cultural identity and personal circumstances.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at tackling mental health challenges and promoting resilience and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure a coordinated care approach that maximizes treatment outcomes.
  • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing mental health emergencies, helping stabilize their situations and outline next steps.
  • Educate patients and their families on various mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them with knowledge and support.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, aligning with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Actively participate in case conferences and team meetings, contributing insights and learning through cultural competency training and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of developments in the field of mental health therapy, including research, best practices, and relevant cultural considerations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on serving a diverse client base, including individuals from ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant families. Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
  • A solid foundation in mental health disorders and contemporary evidence-based treatment approaches that are culturally competent.
  • Proven experience in delivering therapies with an emphasis on inclusivity and responsiveness to clients' cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong crisis-management skills and the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate strong rapport with clients from various segments of society.
  • Competence in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software necessary for documentation and treatment planning.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining professional ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate successfully within a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive and productive work atmosphere.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds is preferred.
  • Previous involvement in crisis intervention roles and in-depth knowledge of local community resources.
