Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to gain an understanding of clients' mental health concerns, leading to accurate clinical diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, modified to suit each client's unique circumstances.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, guiding clients through acute mental health crises with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment results, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring a holistic approach to client care that encompasses various perspectives and treatment modalities.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, advocating for their needs and rights as necessary.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, training sessions, and networking with peers, staying informed about the latest best practices in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a rich tapestry of clients, including adults, adolescents, and families facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. Your ability to foster a safe and trusting environment will be critical in helping clients open up and participate actively in their therapeutic journey. By tailoring your therapeutic approach to the individual needs of each client, you will provide targeted support that enhances their well-being and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • Active license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in New Jersey.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, enabling effective treatment planning.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a relevant mental health setting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective rapport-building with clients.
