Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, offering flexibility and convenience for our team members to manage their schedules effectively while prioritizing client care. Although you will work from home, you will be closely integrated with our outpatient office team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and evaluations to appropriately tailor treatment plans for clients.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, effectively working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Utilize a breadth of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy to meet diverse client needs.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to provide holistic care and support.
  • Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops and staying informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient center serves a diverse client population, addressing a wide array of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and relationship issues. As an LPC, you will have the opportunity to work with clients from various backgrounds, applying your expertise to empower them on their journey towards emotional well-being and personal growth.

Qualifications
  • Possess an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of New Jersey.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing counseling services, ideally within a clinical or outpatient setting.
  • Solid understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations pertinent to counseling practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective rapport-building and therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and related software required for documentation and reporting.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience specializing in trauma, family therapy, substance abuse treatment, or couples counseling is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in a collaborative team environment, working effectively with psychologists and social workers, amongst other practitioners.
  • Engagement in ongoing professional development, including attendance at workshops and trainings related to contemporary mental health practices.
