In this full-time remote role, you will provide crucial telehealth counseling services to a diverse clientele, focusing on enhanced emotional and behavioral health.

About the Organization

Marriage and Couples Counseling Services, Inc. is dedicated to fostering mental wellness for individuals, couples, and families. With a commitment to accessibility and care, we strive to provide comprehensive support to clients facing challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship conflict. Our mission is to enable mental healthcare that is not only effective but also affordable and accessible to those who require it most.

This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a completely remote telehealth environmentโ€”allowing for flexibility and the capability to work from anywhere in California. Our advanced digital tools empower you to conduct therapy sessions, engage in professional collaborations, and manage client documentation all from the comfort of your home office. You'll leverage technology to create a safe and effective therapy space that encourages patients to express themselves openly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to identify a patientโ€™s psychological state while assessing factors such as criminal or substance history to determine care needs.
  • Provide robust crisis intervention strategies through immediate psychotherapy and effective communication, accommodating challenging circumstances that require quick and compassionate responses.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of medical professionals and support staff to develop intricate diagnostic formulations and treatment pathways for complex psychiatric conditions.
  • Develop, document, and deliver individualized treatment plans, complete clinical reports, and manage case consultations to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Facilitate open channels of communication with patients and their healthcare teams, ensuring that insightful recommendations are thoroughly executed.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily involve working with a varied clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples facing emotional and relational challenges. You will use evidence-based therapeutic interventions to guide your patients through notable life difficulties, such as trauma, grief, life changes, or marital discord.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution, qualifying you for the LPCC designation.
  • An active and valid LPCC license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences is required for this role.
  • At least three years of direct patient care experience, demonstrating a continuous record of clinical involvement in either public or private settings.
  • Strong diagnostic evaluation proficiency coupled with the ability to construct effective treatment plans tailored for individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear interaction with clients and team members alike.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with various therapeutic modalities that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or solution-focused therapy, particularly in group settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth systems and online counseling platforms to deliver effective remote therapy.
  • Proficiency in establishing rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and presenting challenges.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $130,000, which reflects our commitment to recognizing quality approach and experience. Our competitive benefits package includes a retirement plan, employee assistance programs, and robust resources promoting work-life balance. Youโ€™ll have the flexibility to create your own schedule, an advantage that supports both personal and professional growth.
