Work Environment

In this remote role, you will be an integral part of our community health clinic, which thrives on collaboration and inclusivity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans accordingly.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to implement effective interventions tailored to each individual, taking into account their cultural and personal backgrounds.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a variety of mental health challenges and fostering resilience.
  • Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to patient wellbeing.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client documentation while adhering to legal and ethical standards of practice.
  • Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance overall service delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, treatment methodologies, and cultural considerations in the field of mental health to enhance therapeutic effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on enhancing the mental health of a diverse patient population, including individuals from varied ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. You will have the opportunity to address unique challenges and provide care in a manner that respects their distinct cultural perspectives, ultimately leading to more effective therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Pennsylvania.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering inclusive therapy to individuals and groups, with a keen eye for cultural competency.
  • Strong crisis intervention and management skills, with a proven ability to handle stressful situations effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for genuine rapport-building with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications to maintain accurate treatment records.
  • A strong commitment to ethical practices, maintaining professional boundaries, and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team focused on comprehensive patient care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community health settings or similar environments that serve diverse populations.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic practices is an advantage.
