Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate client needs, strengths, and challenges, ensuring accurate mental health diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapies tailored to address a variety of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
  • Provide short-term counseling to clients through various therapeutic modalities, adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each patient while maintaining a focus on recovery-oriented principles.
  • Engage in short-term case management services, coordinating with patients to ensure they are navigating their treatment effectively and accessing necessary resources.
  • Assist your teammates in crisis intervention scenarios, including conducting assessments and interventions, de-escalating situations, and, when necessary, coordinating with public mental health crisis response teams.
  • Participate in follow-up assessments and planning sessions aimed at preventing future crises, ensuring continuity of care through collaboration with external agencies and providers.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by actively communicating and coordinating with your treatment team, sharing insights and strategies to enhance patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this therapist role, you will support a broad range of clients, including those facing severe mental health challenges, emotional disturbances, and psychosocial stressors. Your patients may include individuals from various backgrounds experiencing issues such as grief, trauma, domestic violence, and behavioral health problems. Your expertise will help guide these clients through their mental health journeys toward healing and recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related mental health field.
  • Active clinical licensure in California as one of the following: LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor), Psychologist (PhD or PsyD), or LEP (Licensed Educational Psychologist).
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling or therapy.
  • Strong commitment to providing compassionate and effective mental health care.
  • Flexibility to accommodate a schedule that may require evening and weekend availability to meet client needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community health settings or with diverse populations.
