By acting locally and thinking globally, we aim to set standards for other health centers while ensuring a supportive environment for our clients and staff alike.

Work Environment

The role of Clinical Social Worker is set within a remote framework that allows for flexibility and adaptation to modern workstyles. While the position primarily offers remote work flexibility, it includes significant interaction with students and faculty at various partner schools. Collaborating closely with school staff, teachers, and families, this role necessitates a dedicated and inclusive approach to services that cater to the unique needs of the student population. Our work environment thrives on mutual respect, communication, and a shared commitment to community health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment, behavioral health interventions, and ongoing therapy for students facing major mental health issues or emotional difficulties, ensuring the delivery of culturally appropriate care.
  • Conduct brief and comprehensive screenings, evaluations, and assessments to guide treatment planning, collaborating effectively with school officials to create individualized care strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor integrated care plans that facilitate access to additional support services, while ensuring thorough communication with clients, families, and educational staff.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to advance collective goals and share insights that contribute to a supportive school environment.
  • Offer crisis intervention and emergency support as needed, working collaboratively to ensure safe and supportive environments for all students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports, fulfilling legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in community outreach and educational programming to raise awareness about mental health resources available to students and parents.
  • Monitor and review client progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to reflect changes in symptoms or circumstances, and fostering empowerment through informed agency.
  • Provide on-call support and coverage as assigned, ensuring that students have access to help whenever necessary.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Clinical Social Worker will primarily support a diverse student population within our partner schools, working closely with children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related disorders, and behavioral difficulties. Understanding the unique backgrounds and challenges faced by these students is critical to providing effective, empathetic care that aligns with their cultural and societal contexts.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW).
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in clinical social work, preferably within a school or community health setting.
  • Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Georgia or ability to obtain licensure in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and a variety of treatment modalities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in school-based mental health services or child and adolescent therapy.
  • Knowledge of community resources and referral systems relevant to mental health and educational support.
  • Skills in crisis intervention and collaborative problem solving, particularly in a school environment.
