Position Overview

Begin Your Journey, Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This full-time remote position is ideal for professionals committed to providing exceptional mental health counseling and support to individuals and families. As an LPC, your primary responsibility will be to assess client needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and deliver both individual and group therapy sessions.

Work Environment

This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to conduct counseling sessions from your home while engaging with clients across various platforms. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychologists, social workers, and nurse practitioners, ensuring a broad spectrum of support for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough client assessments to identify mental health status, strengths, and areas of concern.
  • Create and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to each clientโ€™s unique needs and goals.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other tracking tools.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.
  • Provide crisis intervention as necessary, ensuring immediate support and resources for clients in distress.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as an LPC will involve working with a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will be instrumental in promoting positive mental health outcomes and facilitating effective coping strategies that empower clients to navigate their personal and family dynamics successfully.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD in the state of Tennessee.
  • Proficiency in using technology, particularly Google Suite and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, providing direct counseling services.
  • Experience with telehealth practices and the capability to deliver remote counseling effectively.
  • Familiarity with cultural competency and strategies to engage with diverse populations.
  • Experience in conducting both individual and group therapy sessions.
