Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our Special Education Program's Mental Health Team. This full-time position allows you to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special needs, offering tailored mental health services and interventions in a telehealth setting. Our ideal candidate is passionate about supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and trauma-related challenges.

About the Organization

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health care tailored to the unique needs of each student within our Special Education Program. Based in Grand Junction, Colorado, our organization emphasizes a collaborative and supportive approach, where a multidisciplinary team of professionals work together to foster an inclusive educational environment. Through telehealth, we ensure that students receive high-quality services regardless of their location, enabling success in both academic and personal growth.

Work Environment

This role is entirely remote, allowing flexibility in conducting assessments, therapy sessions, and consultations through telehealth platforms. You will embrace the challenges of working in a virtual setting while collaborating closely with educators and other specialists to deliver an integrated and responsive care experience. Our team operates within a structured schedule, primarily from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, although opportunities for occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends exist to accommodate student needs.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough mental health assessments to identify the diverse needs of students.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans focused on enhancing emotional well-being and academic integration.
  • Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions and strategies tailored to conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and trauma.
  • Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting personal development and coping skill acquisition.
  • Collaborating with a team of professionals, including educators and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care that addresses all aspects of a student’s well-being.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring students feel safe and supported.
  • Educating students and their families about mental health, available resources, and coping mechanisms.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participating in regular team meetings, case discussions, and professional development sessions to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Staying informed about current laws, regulations, and ethical practices in the mental health field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is on children and adolescents with a range of special needs, including those experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, social skills, and behavioral issues. You will work closely with students who often require tailored interventions, making your role pivotal in their educational and personal success. Through individualized care, you can help them overcome barriers, foster resilience, and cultivate meaningful life skills.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid LCSW license in the state of Colorado.
  • A solid foundation in mental health disorders and trauma-informed practices.
  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to a diverse clientele.
Preferred Experience

While we prefer candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience, your demonstrated skills in applying various therapeutic approaches for individual and group therapy will stand out. Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to navigate challenging situations with a calm demeanor are crucial for success in this role. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly advantageous to streamline documentation processes.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you'll benefit from a comprehensive health insurance package, a retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions, and generous paid time off (PTO) along with holiday pay. We also provide professional liability insurance, opportunities to engage in continuing education, and support for your professional development.

Career Growth Opportunities

As part of our dedicated team, you will have the chance to advance your career within our Special Education Program. With support for continuing education and specialized training, you can enhance your skills and pursue leadership roles in mental health services or program development.

Why Join Our Team

You will find purpose and fulfillment in your work as part of a collaborative and supportive environment that values the contributions of every team member. Our focus on improving the lives of students with unique challenges fosters job satisfaction and a sense of community among staff. By joining Gotham Enterprises Ltd, you will play a critical role in shaping positive outcomes for children and their families.
