Job description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven Fire Alarm Inspector to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will assist with the testing and inspection of fire-alarm systems in assigned buildings. You will help to identify and report any problems or deficiencies found in the systems you inspect. This is a customer-facing role, one that is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Test and inspect commercial fire-alarm systems within assigned buildings.
  • Identify and report problems or discrepancies found in the systems you inspect.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with all inspections and testing.
  • Monitor the fire-alarm panel.
  • Interact with building owner or building engineer prior to, during, and following completion of the testing process.
  • Review reports and initiate next steps as necessary.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements:

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 1 year relevant field service or customer service

Preferred Experience (but not required): 

  • Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronics, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation

The expected compensation range for this position is between $19 to $22 an hour, depending on experience.
