General

This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt, position that will interact with all departments of the Company. The responsibilities include oversight of the Company’s Flight Attendants and Inflight Management team to ensure the highest level of safety and reliability while also meeting the company’s customer experience expectations. The successful individual is responsible for providing a high level of service and support. Good communication skills are required, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working with all levels of the Company in a fast-paced/dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • To support and serve as the link between the Ground Handling Department and the Operations Control Center by coordinating, supervising and following up with external operations partners including designated handlers, fuel providers, caterers, cleaning services, security, and others.
  • The flight coordinator shall gather all information necessary to ensure the smooth operation of each flight and confirm these services in advance of operations.
  • The position is essential in supporting daily flight operations by ensuring all contracted services are successfully delivered.
  • Assisting dispatchers on duty in maintaining operational control, and transmission of passenger flight manifests, including generation of GENDECS.
  • Relay requests from ground handling requests and operational schedules to downline stations, updating downline stations on flight status.
  • Coordinate flight information and delays with office staff and stations.
  • Reviews and reconfirms all details for the next day’s ground handling/catering and special services.
  • Follow up with stations on any irregularities/service failures, etc.
  • Assisting flight dispatchers with the dissemination of flight critical information (diversions, emergencies, etc.).
  • Notify all internal departments and involved stations of flight delay information.
  • Secure gate and ramp parking assignments with the assistance of the local ground handling team.
  • Coordinate fueling with local vendors for departures.
  • Helps coordinate aircraft movement/placement at home base.
  • Report of all flights departing daily to Airport Authorities.
  • If the flight is international and non-terminal ops: Transmit all Domestic and International APIS information to Customs.
  • Any discrepancies with CBP and APIS programs.
  • Assist Dispatch with phone calls, flight following, all abnormal operations, and any other duties,
  • Communicate aircraft movement messages to destination stations.
  • The flight logistics Coordinator position maintains flexibility in daily role responsibilities and shall provide operational support in all applicable aspects required for the successful completion of each flight.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Basic Computer Skills.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing including drug testing and a physical.
  • Ability to safely lift to 70 lbs.
  • Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be able and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • You may have to deal with long queues.
  • You may be based at a desk or moving around the airport.
  • You would have to wear a uniform.
  • It can be a busy and sometimes stressful environment.
