Job Type: Full-time
Classification: Exempt
Base Pay: $100,000 - $130,000, based on qualifications and experience
Commission: Unlimited commission potential, with target earnings aligned with industry standards.
Physical Setting/work location: Our physical office locations are in Grand Forks, North Dakota and
Columbia, Maryland. In-office work is preferred for sales professionals located near these offices.
Remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates based on experience and role
alignment.
Vorbeck is seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Account Executive to drive revenue growth
and market expansion for Vorbeck O3โ„ข fluorine-free firefighting foam solutions within the oil & gas,
petrochemical, terminal, refinery, and industrial markets. This role will focus on developing relationships with refinery operators, terminal owners, industrial facilities, engineering firms, fire protection consultants, distributors, and other key stakeholders while supporting the transition from legacy AFFF products to fluorine-free alternatives.
The ideal candidate brings experience in firefighting foam, fire protection, industrial chemicals, oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries and will leverage that expertise to support customer adoption, guide market expansion efforts, and contribute to Vorbeck's growth within industrial fire protection markets.
  • Sales & Market Development: Develop and execute territory sales strategies to drive revenue growth within refinery, petrochemical, terminal, energy, and industrial markets. Generate new business opportunities through direct outreach, networking, customer visits, industry events, demonstrations, and distributor partnerships.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with EHS leaders, fire protection managers, operations leaders, engineering teams, industrial fire brigades, procurement stakeholders, distributors, and channel partners. Serve as a trusted advisor on fluorine-free foam performance, PFAS transition planning, and implementation strategies.
  • Industrial &Technical Sales Support: Support customers through product evaluations, qualification processes, site assessments, testing activities, and implementation planning. Assist customers in evaluating fluorine-free foam solutions while addressing operational, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strategic Execution & Market Intelligence: Collaborate with Product Development, Operations, Marketing, and Leadership teams to communicate customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence. Represent Vorbeck at conferences, trade shows, industry demonstrations, customer training events, and technical meetings.
  • Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, forecast, and account information within CRM systems. Develop territory plans and provide regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to leadership.
  • Additional Duties: Perform additional responsibilities and support special projects as assigned. Travel required approximately 30-50%.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration, Fire Science, Emergency Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education, industry experience, and demonstrated sales success will be considered.

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related role.
  • Background within the firefighting foam industry strongly preferred. Candidates with experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial chemicals, fire protection, industrial safety, environmental services, or related industries will also be considered.
  • Proven success selling to refinery, petrochemical, terminal, industrial, energy, or related markets preferred.
  • Familiarity with PFAS transition initiatives, environmental compliance programs, fire protection systems, or related industrial safety programs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business opportunities and managing full-cycle sales efforts.
  • Experience managing long sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Exposure to technical product evaluations, demonstrations, implementation activities, or customer testing programs is preferred.
  • Established relationships within the oil & gas, petrochemical, industrial safety, fire protection,
    or related industries are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage industry knowledge and professional relationships to support market expansion, customer acquisition, and strategic growth initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, drive revenue growth, and achieve sales objectives.
