Position Title: K-4 Reading Interventionist, Full-Time
Job Description: Harrison School District 36 is seeking a full-time Reading Intervention Teacher
for a resource environment which includes pull-out and co-teaching models in Grades K-4.
Educational Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an Elementary Endorsement;
Successful teaching experience in a K-5 classroom preferred; Reading Specialist Endorsement
Duties and Responsibilities:
Facilitate data collection and data-based decision making through guidelines of the
MTSS framework;
Provide flexible interventions to students identified through the MTSS framework utilizing
a variety of tools and resources;
Plan and implement academic and behavioral instruction for small groups of students;
Progress monitor students;
Be well versed in the academic, social and emotional needs of students;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Ability to be an effective member of a team;
Participate in building initiatives; staff committees and/or student activities
