Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 / hour
Description
The Front Desk Clerk serves as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and visitors, playing a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position is responsible for coordinating front office operations, including patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

What You'll Do
  • Welcome patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner and ensure a positive first impression.
  • Accurately register and check in patients by verifying identification, demographic information, insurance coverage, and referral documentation.
  • Update and maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, balances, and other patient payments while ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliation.
  • Complete required patient registration forms and obtain necessary signatures.
  • Scan and upload medical, insurance, and registration documents into the RIS system.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments while providing patients with exam preparation instructions.
  • Support office operations by performing additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of one (1) year of medical front office experience required, including patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
  • Previous experience in a radiology, imaging, or specialty medical practice preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance eligibility, authorization processes, and healthcare registration procedures.
  • Experience working with Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and other healthcare software platforms preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and remain calm in a busy healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bilingual English/Chinese

Primary Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Every other Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
