Position: Full-Time Medical Director | Outpatient Primary Care

Position Summary

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Medical Director to spearhead our clinical operations in Tampa, Florida. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a physician leader who is dedicated to improving quality, patient outcomes, and team development within a value-based care framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of clinical care delivery, quality management, and patient safety across various centers in the Tampa area.
  • Rotate among multiple clinic locations to provide onsite leadership, support, and clinical oversight.
  • Develop, review, and implement medical policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Supervise and assess the performance of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
  • Ensure the completion of HEDIS and quality metrics, appropriate risk adjustment coding, and care coordination.
  • Manage performance improvement initiatives and engage in peer review processes.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of medical providers.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ACHA, infection control, and emergency preparedness standards.
  • Address complex patient issues, provider performance concerns, and quality improvement action plans.
  • Participate in or lead clinical governance committees, including those focused on Quality and Adverse Events.
  • Provide direct primary care to patients as part of a manageable clinical workload.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • MD or DO from an accredited medical institution.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in primary care (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine).
  • A minimum of 1 year in a leadership role as a Medical Director or in a comparable position.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and in value-based care is highly preferred.
Licensure & Certification
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications.

  • Strong knowledge of clinical quality metrics and healthcare compliance.
