This bioinformatics analyst position supports the myChoice CDx and related products. myChoice CDx is the most comprehensive tumor test that determines HRD status in patients with ovarian cancer. This FDA-approved test helps provide information on the magnitude of benefit for PARP inhibitor therapy. This position will assist various groups in interpreting the failed, inconclusive, or complicated results that are output by the myChoice CDx assay, as well as assisting with FDA required analyzes. In addition to myChoice CDx, this position will assist in the development of new myChoice products as well as related R&D endeavors.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Provide bioinformatics support to R&D team by evaluating and reporting NGS data/results.
  • Provide quality control evaluations of various NGS data sets across multiple applications.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate problematic issues, which may arise during analysis.
  • Assist Bioinformaticist / Data Scientist in the analysis of larger scale projects.
  • Develop documentation of analyses conducted and/or analysis plans and specifications, as appropriate.

ABOUT YOU
  • General knowledge of molecular biology laboratory techniques, with previous biology lab experience is a plus.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in R, Python, or Perl; experience working with relational database and standard Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of Unix/Linux environment and standard bioinformatics tools such as bash, sed, or awk.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • a bachelor's degree in related field (biology, computer-science, statistics, or equivalent). A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
